Domestic & General Group PLC, the parent company of Inkfish Services Ltd, has completed a successful audit for compliance to ISO 27001 (the newer international data security standard which replaces BS7799) and have thus been recommended for certification. The scope is for IT and covers our Wimbledon, Nottingham and Coventry sites in the first instance with Slough and Brighton to follow shortly. It should be noted that all eight UK sites now follow the ISO 27001 processes and procedures and we anticipate that complete certification will be achieved within the next year.
Director Nigel Alexander, who has responsibility for IT, says 'This is fantastic news for the Group and all our subsidiary companies as it demonstrates unequivocably to current and potential clients that our data protection and general data security standards are amongst the highest attainable. As background you may be interested to know that the old BS7799 standard had only been achieved by less than 300 companies within the UK. We are amongst the earliest companies in the UK to receive the new - and more stringent - ISO27001'.
